What is your role in your company?
My name is Dan Bigger and I am the Director of Sales and Marketing for Chenango Valley Technologies (CVT). I am responsible for all of our marketing efforts.
Those include the following: All sales literature, website, social media, and industry shows. I also correspond with our existing clientele to continue to build our relationship with them in order to bolster new business and projects that we may be able to work on with them. I also reach out to new potential customers in order to start and foster new relationships that can grow into working relationships.
What does your company do?
CVT is a Custom Contract Manufacturing Company. We specifically specialize in Plastic Injection Molding and Tooling. That means that we manufacture new tooling for our partners as well as repairing or upgrading old tooling for our customers’ plastic parts. We also provide the service of processing plastic in those molds for our partners in our facility, providing them the plastic parts that will inevitably use the products that our partners manufacture and sell to their customers.

What are your top 3 social media tips to help other plastic manufacturing companies like yours survive the social media jungle?
- Education: You have to show your company and what you do while explaining it to them so they can understand the services that you provide.
- Keep Engaged: Without being there and engaging with people, it is hard to spread your message
- Videos and Pictures: It is hard to explain our processes to people that have never seen it in person for themselves. You have to provide visuals to help them understand it easier.
